
Tulum Mayan Ruins looking over the cliff of the Caribbean sea
On the cliff lyes a small building over looking the cliff, this building is called the Temple of the wind and was used for secret ceremonies. If you take a close look at the building you will see a thick hole in the back wall that looks out over the Caribbean sea, if you look through the the circle form the out side you will see a triangular symbol aligned perfectly over the door. This is believed to have some astronomical symbol, given that they Maya people were very astrological advanced.
They Mayan forests are filled with ancient statues and hidden messages. The Maya civilizations produced many skilled mathematicians, farmers, artists and astronauts.
This particular site in Tulum is a fairly small city compared to some of the other ruin locations, on the other hand it is one of the best reserved coastal ruin site. Tulum’s Mayan Ruins have become a the third most popular historical tourist site, with daily tour buses, there is always a constant stream of visitors to explore the archaeological site.
From the top of the cliff you can take a wooden stair way down to the white sand beaches below. The crystal clear blue water is simply amazing, you will not be able to resist a dive in; Don’t forget your bathing suit!

Temple of the Wind located at the Tulum Mayan Ruins Site
There is a bus ride that will take you to the ruins for a couple dollars or you can walk in your self. The walk is about a mile in, so depending on your fitness level you can get some exercise or take the relaxing route in.
Once you arrive at the ruins you can opt in for the guided tour or explore on your own. At an entrance fee of about six dollars its a definite must on any vacation to the Mayan Rivera.
