Hidden Worlds Cenote Park Sky Cyclling
Mexico is truly one destination, which seems to stand frozen during the course of the time. This is one place, which has been able to capture the old world charm and yet accommodate the latest facilities and luxuries in its culture. This is probably one of the most popular holiday destinations among tourists from all over the world. People arrive at this picturesque destination so that they can soak up some sun, breathe in the fresh air and relive the magic of Mayan civilization.

Mexico has a lot to offer in terms of recreational facilities and the Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park is one stop destination for all the adventure freaks that may be looking forward to re-explore Mother Nature and live in the lap of freshness and nature’s bounties. Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park is one destination no individual would like to miss. While on our trip here, we were surprised by the multitude of activities that this place offers. Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park has a number of unique eco-friendly jungle adventures planned for the tourists. It doesn’t matter whether you are a young kid or are a middle-aged individual; there is loads of Mayan adventures and activities, which are waiting to be unearthed.

It was extremely surprising for us to learn that Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park is located on one of the most extensive system of underwater caves and caverns, which exist on earth. Although we presumed it to be a routine jungle safari kind of trek, Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park turned out to be an adventure island of sorts which has some of the world’s most exclusive and exceptionally beautiful Cenotes which can be found in the Yucatan Peninsula. Yet another interesting tit bit of information that we gathered was that Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park had actually shot to popularity and suddenly became a well-acknowledged place after it was featured in the highly acclaimed movie “Journey into the Caves” which premiered in 2001.

Since then, the popularity of this place has risen up considerably with several more films being shot here, courtesy its picturesque landscape and breathtaking scenery. Some of the other movies which were shot here include a Hollywood movie “The Cave” which premiered in 2005 and another documentary television series named “Planet Earth” was shot in 2007 by BBC.

Post arriving in Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park, one can choose from the different package tours available. There are different types of guided tours available and tourists have the option of choosing a package which best suits their tastes. We, however, chose to go with the adventure package. After all, what’s the use of arriving in Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park, if one does not participate in all the adventurous activities that this place has to offer?

So, we decided to go ahead with the adventure package, which included several interesting activities, such

Cenote Cavern Diving and Snorkeling at Hidden Worlds
as the sky cycling, rappelling, and zip lines among a host of other activities, which can bring out the adventure streak even almost anyone. Apart from these, there was other regular adventure stuff for us as well, such as snorkeling and cavern diving. While indulging in cavern diving, we got a chance to make some interesting expeditions all over the Yucatan Peninsula, which was definitely worth the effort.

Considering the excellent opportunities that this place has to offer, it was no surprise to learn that this is one of the best attractions, which we could possibly locate along the Riviera Maya. Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park is also featured as one of the “Top Ten Sights” in the Yucatan region.

The adventure package taken by us while holidaying at the Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park was thrilling to say the least. This park truly lived up to its name and brought out a hidden world of fun and adventure for us in this quaint world, which is chiefly inhabited by remains of Mayan civilization. It took us an entire day to take part in all the activities. However the best part about this package is that it is designed in such a manner that an individual may be able to take part in the maximum number of activities all through the day without having to waste unnecessary time in commuting from one place to the other in search of the next adventure activity.

Some of the most memorable adventures that we had were on the sky cycle jungle. The SkyCycle jungle experience is combined with the adventurous task of snorkeling in order to yield the most breathtakingly refreshing experience that any individual could ever experience here. The SkyCycle allows an individual to view the spectacular art galleries, which are located on the above while they can easily snorkel through the Riviera Maya and explore the endless gifts of Mother Nature.

Zip line at Mexico\'s Hidden World cenote park
Another interesting adventure activity that we came across, while vacationing here was the tree top zipline. This is one adventure activity that we would like to recommend to each and every individual who is planning to take a break at the Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park. While indulging in this adventure task, we were literally transported from one corner of the jungle to another while being placed in a cable car, which is approximately 600 feet long.

Though the thought of being transported through the entire park while sitting in an open-air cable car scared us to no limits, but the good part was that the assistants there steadily fastened us in the harness, thus eliminating any chance of a possible accident or something. In fact, it would be of no use to explain the memorable experience that we had at Hidden World Cenotes Park in mere words. A person actually needs to experience it himself in order to believe the thrill, adventure, excitement and most importantly, a memorable experience that this place can provide.

Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park is a place, which can provide interesting adventurous activities for large groups who are out to spend their vacation here either with their family or selected bunch of friends.

Dos Ojos meaning is one of the largest under water cave Cenotes in the world. Spanning over 57km and over 25 known entrance Dos Ojos is a very large cave system. Dos Ojos is Spanish for two eyes and refers to one of the main entrances connection two of the large caverns.

Scuba Diver in Dos Ojos Cenote in the Mayan Rivera
The cave water is mainly comes from rain water filtered through limestone making the water extremely clear and excellent location for scuba diving or snorkeling. The average water temperature is 77 degrees through the year. There is a variety of fish living in the cave system which are all fairly small in size along with some fresh water shrimp.

One of the connecting caverns is also known as the bat cave, It can be accessed by latter descending down from a small hole in the ground above, or through diving or snorkeling from cavern to cavern. We did not see a tun of bats but with the help of a diving light there was defiantly a few sleeping on the caverns roof above.

Most dives at Dos Ojos are less then 30 ft deep, allowing for a longer dive and more exploration of this spectacular cenote. Cave Diving can be dangerous without proper training. It is recommended to always do these dives with a guided tour by a certified dive master. Overall this had to be one of the best cave dives in Mexico, so if you are in the area don’t pass this one up. It is a dive of a life time!
