The Grand Sirenis is one of the newest luxury resorts in the Mayan Rivera. This new resort features a new contemporary style with a hint of Mayan influence. The resort opened in early 2007 and has been building a strong reputation. The entrance has an Aztec style to the architecture and looks quite grand! Snacks are plentiful, free room service, a snack bar by the beach bar, another, by the main pool and a smoothie bar to mix in a little bit of healthiness in between all those all inclusive drinks! Bars are always happening, Our favorite was the swim bar, you cant go wrong lounging in the pool with a nice cocktail. There is also two main lobby bars, a beach bar, and another by the nightly shows. On the beach there is hostess who will replenish your cocktail, so you never have to leave the comfort of your lounge chair.

Numerous Ala cart restaurants treat your every taste bud; Brazilian, Japanese, French, Cajun, Mediterranean, Italian, a steakhouse and of course Mexican! To check out some of their menus at Grand-Sirenis Dinning

The Grand Sirenis resort is situated on a natural cove shaped reef offering tuns of tropical fish right off the beach, which makes for great snorkeling. There is even an Mayan ruin right on the property. The beach has a bit of small coral bits in the sand so you might want to bring your self a pair of water shores if you have soft feet. Snorkel gear is available free of charge for half an hour intervals, if you are an avid snorkeler you might want yo bring your own. A 20 minute boat ride to the turtle bay is also available from the local resort dive shop, get a chance to swim with some wild sea turtles! The dive shop is every day and has plenty of dives and adventures you can book fro a fee. If you have never dieved before there is also an introductory to scuba dive session in the pool on a daily basis, this is a perfect way to test out diving in the saftey of only a few feet of water.

The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, they are very large with tile from wall to wall. The bathroom counters, and tub are surrounded with granite. There giant triangular type shape cut out between the room and the bathroom, I thought it was quite cool but for a family it may be a concern; Be sure to request one of the ones filled with glass (new addition to some of the rooms due to privacy complaints).

They had some of the largest pools we have seen in a while, they wrap around almost in a giant horse shoe shape, seems to go on for ever. There is also a large hot tub type pool with jets which is quite nice to lounge around in at night.

There is nightly is quite good, with a new show every night you are sure to have a good time. They try to get the audience to participate in a lot of them, ending them with music and dancing, and the famous “Grand Sirenis theme song” you will get to know it quite well, it is seemed to be played after the show as the transition of everyone getting you to dance! Don’t worry theres a bar with plenty of drinks by the stage as well!

With numerous bars, and nightly entertainment you should never have a dry moment!
